birds
and the foghorn
how many leaves
are

as the mist
spreads, slow, dotted
slight green

in the trees
the wind’s leg
briefly rain

gulls
the wind
is level

the grass left
to itself long
growth

the small lighthouse
quiets
in the day-time

antenna
on the outer rail
