Goya
you have entered my rooms
three times without
my express invitation.
Do you happen to recall
a black lace fan
intent on waving away
the heat
when you passed me
close on that balcony.
Because I do not.
I never entertain such notions
no king of darkness
moving through my sphere.

tell me one last thing:
did you paint the black pictures
in a well lit room
airy
with many windows.
