Questions
Susan Hankla
A child asks me a question:
"Can I walk anywhere
in the woods?"
I don’t know.
When I try to see out
there is always
a limit.
I see through my need
Sometimes I can’t see anything
for the need.
So I don’t know
Yes. Go ahead!
Say I love you–
Go ahead
But can we love anywhere
without possessions
without shelter?
Can we always be
who we need to be
anywhere in these woods?
Or is there a hurtful limit?
a bear.
