Izzy Scholes-Young (they/them) is a 22-year-old artist from Rockville, Maryland. They recently graduated from American University with a dual degree in Literature and Spanish Studies. They began selling wire-wrapped jewelry on Depop in 2020 to raise money for DC mutual aid projects, which evolved into their current work at Lazy Lefty Art (@lazyleftyart). They regularly sell jewelry and hand-cut collage art at art markets in the DMV to benefit Everybody Eats DC, a mutual aid collective of AU students they formed two years ago. Everybody Eats DC (@everybodyeatsdc) distributes hot meals and care supplies at homeless encampments in the area.
