This is not a recipe

This is not a recipe, and there are
some conditions. Like sourdough, you’ll need
a few certain traits and some certain feed:
a living starter, premixed in a jar.

Perfectionism — now there’s a strong start.
Add to that a certain softness, and knead.
Add to that a need to please, to exceed.
And a pinch of whatever else you are.

This is not a recipe, nor is it
a cause, just a latent correlation,
a spark of hungry being; Frankenstein
in a jar. This genetic starter kit
under heat will expand — a mutation,
now too big for the jar it made your shrine.

Grace Cameron–24-year-old writer and model from Sydney, Australia. Lived and worked between London and Paris since 2021 before moving to New York in 2023. Whilst floating around on the changing winds of the modelling industry, I’ve been completing my Bachelor Arts degree online at Macquarie University as a politics major, minoring in sociology and creative writing. I’ve also been dabbling in acting/method acting — doing a range of short courses in London and New York.
