The Dane

Elizabeth Ring Hennefrund

perches pleasantly, a lady-
respect her-
in tawny taut-and-soft courtly
coiffure. The honey one
enormously squatted on
an upholstered sofa, is
a Goya. In her
alertness, her
regal neck-arch, she is
elegance totaled.

Satired? Her warm gaze
and quick ears work
their assumptive
round her throne. She is
so sure of hierarchical rights,
dear overgrown
princess. In that
haunch-awkward pose, the proud
racer but slightly encumbers her
overland graces. Oh,
this girl is
powerful, and she well
guards her realm.
And we–we regard her
far more sincere
than our own.
